After a single day spike of nearly $11 for a barrel of oil, I guess Hubberts peak oil theory has finally proven to be true. I guess we have managed to waste most of the easily accessible oil and now that the demand from other nations finally demanding our standard of living is coming to full play, we feel the full force of our addiction to oil.
Regardless of the current craze about the gas price, I urge you not to go nuts and spend above sticker price for a Prius. Instead wait for the new VW Bluemotion TDI cars (the first truly clean diesels) or don’t buy a new car and just follow these tips to save money on gas.
Seriously, think about how much gas you need to pump to recover the cost for a Prius. It simply makes no sense. And please don’t try to tell me that you are an environmentalist when you are not even considering how to dispose of the stupid Hybrid batteries after 100k miles.
Have you ever thought about how much it would cost to replace the batteries after 100k miles? Are you willing to spend $10k on a car with 100k miles on its odometer? Hybrids will proof to be a just a temporary solution. Definitely not worth their money right now.

Why don’t our leaders do something about the thievery of our American dollars ? We are being Ripped -off all over the world and especially at the Gas Pump. Our men and women are being killed in the middle east to protect the oil and on top of that, we are not only loosing those young people, but also we are paying for it with our Dollars. Wise up America, Get rid of the Cancer we have in Washington and put America back on top again. Iraq has oil and we are owed Billions, Why can’t we have that oil to pay for our blood and dollars spent to put that country back together.
